This was my starting point and as everybody knows it can come from any direction. I was lucky enough to start with Keshena Anoki, affectionately known as Nooki. He was 4 weeks old when he and his mum came from Liz Dunn, and I can never thank her enough for this amazing boy. He was born in 1996, he stole my heart, my hat, he would tell me by a nudge when he’d had enough of me reading my newspaper using him as my chairback whilst he laid in his stable. To this day he greets me whenever I appear, we have a great respect for one another, he’s my inspiration, my pride, my joy and my best friend. He has passed his gene onto many foals, he is an absolute star and gentleman when he’s with a mare, he’s patient and kind, also clever and hardly misses the right opportunity to serve his mares and produce beautiful foals.

Nooki has 100% record of producing colour with Appaloosa mares.
